A visceral, primeval work full of energy and power.

Artist’s notes
This work was formed without guide—a tactile, manual process of bending wire into a simple armature, applying plaster and layering clay to fashion an animated figure representing the raw energy of the hunter gatherer instinct and the delights and necessities of food. The netted fish were formed by hand-beating lead and applying plaster. The fish are covered in hand-beaten gold leaf which extends onto the upper limbs and torso of the figure expanding the narrative that examines the commodities we should truly value. This work is also available as a strictly limited lost wax bronze (1-8) exhibiting some artistic modifications.

PRECAUTIONARY NOTE: The 3 netted fish in this work are made from hand beaten lead, which are then largely covered with plaster and gold leaf. This artwork is meant as a purely decorative artwork. Handeling the fish should be avoided and the sculpture should be kept out of the reach of children.
