Artist’s notes

The work’s title is a simple anagram of the word ‘hybrid’ that plays to this organic-mechanical fusion. The sculpture also pays homage to Sir Frank Whittle, (1907 UK—1996 U.S. ) the English aviation engineer and pilot who invented the jet engine.

The first practical test of the jet engine took place on April 12, 1937 at Whittle’s test site and works based in Lutterworth, England where JJ Walker worked as a graphic designer for a time and where he was inspired by this aviation visionary.

Strictly limited to 12 editions, numbered and signed by the artist.
